GIFT WRAPPED LOVE
By Kayla Rollison

There's a thin line between love and hate.
There's a long way between good and great.
There's a distance that seperates us.
Like a lapse in time.
We sealed it with our friendship.
And with our love we signed.

The horizon is the starting point for the midnight blue sky.
The windows to the sole are the truth to every lie.
There's no secrets between us.
We'd reveal them with a glance.
So we hold each other's hearts.
And give them a second chance.

They say follow your heart when it begins to plead.
Yet, they say forget what you want worry about your needs.
There is no parched thirstation.
That a true friend cannot ease.
So we run from each other's nightmares.
And chase each other's dreams.

They say you cannot have knowledge without wisdom 1st.
But if you have wisdom what is knowledge worth?
There's nothing your not wise too.
There's not one thing I do not know.
So we enrich each other's spirit's.
In order to help them grow

You cannot truly be loved till you have loved yourself.
But you are incomplete without the love of someone else.
But I have unconditional love for you.
And you have unordinary love for me.
So our friendship must be magic.
For such a love to be.

Anything is possible if you just believe.
But nothing would be possible if you had to leave.
So I'll gift rap your sole.
In order to keep it safe.
And I'll give you my guardian angel.
To love you just in case.

This has some thought-provoking lines. Also, this piece defines the love for a best friend so well I want to cry. Well done!

I too almost felt like crying. That was an incredibly beautiful, touching and yes, thought-prevoking poem! I hope you publish it somewhere so that more people can read it.
